And Virtual, via Zoom

In Lane County, 60% of our students aren’t reading proficiently by third grade, which negatively impacts their ability to graduate on time. Thankfully, there’s something we can do about it.

Join us to learn about the challenges keeping kids from reading proficiently, meet some of the amazing programs supporting 4J and Bethel students, and learn how you can support literacy efforts for Eugene & Bethel readers.

We’ll hear about:

  • The Bethel Early Literacy Project

  • The Black Early Learning program

  • Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

  • 2023 BookFest, and

  • The “science of reading” curriculum teachers are implementing in 4J schools
