Volunteer Engagement Manager

The Volunteer Engagement Manager is responsible for leading and strengthening United Way of Lane County's (UWLC) volunteer engagement strategy and infrastructure and aligning volunteer engagement efforts with UWLC's broader impact strategies. This includes program and event management, implementation, and administrative support of short-term and larger-scale volunteer efforts and serving as a connector and resource to other community-based volunteer coordinators. This position requires in-person collaboration and local travel, with some flexibility for remote work.

The Volunteer Engagement Manager works with nonprofit organizations, community services groups, community partners, businesses, government, labor, faith-based organizations, donors, and volunteers across Lane County and UWLC staff to network and build relationships that help United Way deepen community connections and grow partnerships. This will be balanced with detail-oriented office work and project management. The successful candidate is an authentic spokesperson and champion for our work, comfortable both one-on-one settings and presenting to large groups, and is able to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
