Now more than ever, our neighbors, co-workers and friends are living on the edge –some for the first time in their lives. Trapped between layoffs, foreclosures and skyrocketing costs for basic needs, families are struggling. This is the time for Lane County citizens, businesses and nonprofits come together to LIVE UNITED.  To be part of the United Way solution and help those hit hardest by the economic crisis get on the road to recovery.

RESPONSE: HELP STARTS HERE
Families on the edge do not know where to turn. 2-1-1 makes it easier for families to connect to the help they need. United Way is expanding 2-1-1 to meet the growing demand from the economic crisis.

RELIEF: MEETING THE NEED
Lane County families are turning to critical services such as emergency food and shelter to weather the economic storm. Unfortunately, many of these programs are unable to meet growing demand. We are giving aid to these programs.

RECOVERY: THE ROAD BACK
United Way is committed to guiding families along the long road to recovery. No one service will pull a working family permanently out of poverty. Affected families need long-term support and access to multiple services to rebuild lives.

Helping build the road to recovery is easy.  Use the giving means that is easiest for you:
