| Carl Olson’s life as a widower left him depressed and lonely. Through a United Way funded out-of-school time school program, Carl found new life as a volunteer music teacher. And dozens of kindergarteners, many from single parent households, found an accepting and loving “grandpa” who lets each one of them know how important they are. It’s hard to say whose life was changed the most. |
